Authentic Zisha Tea Pot "Chrysanthemum" (Huo Ju Hu) 惑菊壶

Clay: Purple Clay (紫泥), from Yellow Dragon Mountain (黄龙山)

So called the Chrysanthemum because of its resemblance to the flower in full blossom. A traditional design from the Ming dynasty 600 years ago, it borrows from the Chinese notion of the chrysanthemum representing a gentleman or longevity.

This tea pot is modelled after famous pottery master Ge Tao Zhong (葛陶中). He named it Confusing Chrysanthemum to reflect the numerous petals, and highlight the difficulty in styling this pot.

Look out for its matching flowy lines from lid to body in an harmonious representation of gentle elegance on dark coloured clay.

Made using authentic clay from Yellow Dragon Mountain in Yixing, Jiangsu province of China, each tea pot is as functional as it is aesthetically pleasing, and comes with a certificate stamped by the potter.

Enjoy the history, heritage and tradition when you sip tea from it.
