Swiss water process is a certified organic, chemical-free method that removes caffeine from coffee beans via osmosis.
To start, the green coffee beans are cleaned and pre-soaked to expand the bean. Caffeine-free green coffee extract is then added to the bean. The imbalance in caffeine concentration causes almost all of the caffeine inside your coffee beans to diffuse into the extract. This extract is then carbon-filtered to purge the caffeine molecules, before being re-introduced into the bean.
The end result is a 99.9% caffeine-free coffee that retains all of its delicious aromas and flavours. This Colombian Excelso has a medium body with notes of cherry, raisin and toffee.
