Dong Ting Biluochun is a top green tea in China. It is an emperor's tea during the last Chinese dynasty. It has a bold character on a delicate aroma of tropical fruits, jasmine and seaweed, with lively acidity. The literal translation of Biluochun is jade-coloured snail of Spring. It is renowned for its delicate appearance of showy white hairs in curled shape, fruity and floral aroma, and early cropping. (Do not mistaken it for mold.)

Biluochun is cultivated on West Dong Ting Hill (洞庭西山), on Lake Tai (太湖), in Suzhou. The tea shrubs grow amidst fruit trees, explaining its high fruity aroma. It is one of China's most famous green tea. History records show that its original unglamourous name of "Scarily High Fragrance" in the local dialect was changed to its current name by Emperor Kangxi during his fourth visit down south.

This tea is a China Geographical Indicator registered product.
