From the tea forests in Ha Giang high mountains, selected hundreds years old tea trees were picked during springtime. The picking is 1 bud and 2 leaves, when the tea leaves are well matured and still young. The white buds from the tender picking are clearly seen on the tea cake. Tea buds are exceptionally rich in nutrition, thickly sweet and very floral. It imparts a very clean Pu'er taste, delicate cool feeling going through your stomach and back to your throat, with a sweet and bold flavor.
The ancient tea trees are blanketed by thick fog throughout the year, especially after the long winter break. This slows down the already slow growth of ancient trees, setting the conditions right for an aromatic brew of thick mouthfeel. Although very young, this tea is already pretty smooth due to this cool climate that promotes the production of softer chemical compounds in the trees.
Overall, this tea has a very long aftertaste and you can enjoy up to 10 infusions. It will refine better as it ages.
