SCW 2025 - Inaugural Singapore Home Roasting Championship

Parchmen & Co is proud to announce the inaugural Singapore Home Roasting Championship in conjunction with Singapore Coffee Week 2025. The preliminary round is on 8th Oct and the final round is on 9th Oct. Public selection of the final round is on 10th Oct 2025.

This event is supported by Singapore Coffee Association.


The aim for this Championship is straight forward:
1. To connect with local coffee practitioners and the home barista community
2. To introduce Santoker roasting machine to the Singapore coffee community
3. To introduce a new method of cupping coffee using two temperatures (as part of ACF Coffee Appreciation Protocol, ACAP) as developed by ASEAN Coffee Institute (education institute of ASEAN Coffee Federation)
4. To simply have fun and win some cash prizes

In a nutshell, there are two rounds. Roasters will be given 400g of mystery green coffee, a roasted sample for reference, and some measuring tools to use. The requirement is to submit 100g within 30min. The roasting machine is Santoker Q20. Using ACI's two-temperature cupping (88°C and 94°C), 10 winning coffees will be selected by the public to get into 2nd round. The finalists will roast a different coffee and submit 100g as well. The winners are again selected by the public via the ACAP two-temperature cupping method. More details on the format here.

Champion: $350 cash prize
Runner-up: $250 cash prize
2nd Runner-up: $150 cash prize

The registration fee for this Championship is $15. Each competitor can book time with Parchmen & Co for free 1-hour practice session on the Santoker Q20.
