2022 Darjeeling Second Flush Tea Box

In October, as we move into rainier and cooler months, it is great time to enjoy some of the best Darjeeling teas the world has ever known. They are also great gifts for the international community who are probably very familiar with Indian teas. This tea box contains teas which are either organic or Fairtrade certified.

We are featuring three Darjeeling teas from the second flush. Darjeeling - the Land of the Thunderbolt - enjoys a misty and cool climate being at the foothills of the Himalayas, endowing the teas a clean and elegant character. Darjeeling second flush teas are known for their muscatel notes, tasted only during the second flush when the light and bright floral notes give way to deeper, sweeter and fruitier notes produced by the tea plant when exposed to sunlight more since spring time. This muscatel note is what make the second flush known as the champagne of teas. Our three 'champagnes' are:
