Our first espresso blend of 2022 continues in our usual style of sweet clean coffee on a balanced profile. As we stride into a year with more freedom from COVID restrictions, we are bold to blend two unwashed coffees for our espresso. The notes will be wilder, the flavour may be more uncertain, but there may be surprises, and who does not like a good surprise in coffee? The underlying taste is sweetness and more sweetness, because the sharp and bitter years are behind us and we look forward to a sweet beginning, The fruity profile consists of mature red and tropical fruits. We hope our customers mature and grow with us as we stride boldly into a post-COVID era.
Notes from the cupping table: A morning coffee which brightens your days, it reminds us of an open field full of flowers, wild berries and small citrus trees swaying and dancing in the golden rays of the spring sun that has just risen from the horizon. As the cup cools, intense sweetness develops, and the red sticky fruits (perhaps red dates or jam from red fruits) come forth. We have checked the Parchmen roast style - yes, balanced and harmonious without burning acidity or bitterness.
